Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance provides payment to you or your beneficiaries if you lose a limb or die in an accident. The Diocese provides AD&D coverage of up to 1x basic salary to a maximum of $50,000 at no cost to you. This coverage is in addition to your company-paid life insurance described above.
Supplemental Life Insurance
Benefit eligible employees may purchase Additional Life insurance coverage for themselves through The Standard.
The additional life insurance is available in increments of $10,000 to a maximum of $100,000 with a minimum of $10,000. If your insurance ends because your employment terminates, you may be eligible to convert to an individual policy from MetLife through the Portability or Conversion provisions, assuming you meet the eligibility requirements.
You can enroll during your open enrollment period and you will be required to complete an evidence of insurability (EOI). If you elect any amount of Supplemental Life coverage within the first 31 days of being hired, you do not need to complete an evidence of insurability (EOI).
