The Diocese of Paterson offers an Employer Paid Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability. This coverage will protect your income in the event, that you not able to work for an extended period of time. Below, you will find the benefit breakdown. If you are not familiar on how our disability coverage works, please refer to our disability explanation video.
Special Note: If you are absent for more than three days due to a disability, you must open disability claim. Please AMTrust at 1.800.401.2691, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time, to file a claim when necessary. Short Term Disability Elimination Period Accdient 7 days Sickness 7 days Hospitalization Benefits begin on first day Short Term Disability - Benefits Benefit Percentage 66% of your Predisability Earnings, reduced by Deductible Income Weekly Benefit Maximum $650 Minmum Weekly Benefit $25 Definition of Earnings Salary Long Term Disability - Benefits Elimination Period 180 days Benefits Benefit Percentage 60% Monthly Benefit Maximum $5,000 Maximum Period of Payment ADEA Schdule Minimum Monthly Benefit $100 or 10% of benefit, whichever is greater Definition of Disability Own Occupation Definition of Earnings Salary Self-Reported Symptoms - Limitations 24 Months Mental Illness - Limitations 24 months or The Maximum Benefit Period (whichever is lesser) Pre-Existing Condition Limitations 12 months for conditions treated within the 3 months prior to effective date of coverage Partial Disability Covered Return to Work Incentive Benefit 24 months
