This annual event offers us the opportunity to gather together to acknowledge consecrated life in the Church and affirm those who minister in our parishes, schools, agencies, etc. During evening prayer, the Conferral of the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Award on Sister Mary Edward Spohrer, SCC will take place. _________________________________________________________________________________
Retirement Savings Plan Meetings Scheduled
We have scheduled several Information Sessions for Lay employees to provide additional information about the upcoming freeze of the Lay Pension Plan and the start-up of the New Retirement Savings Plan with Lincoln Financial. Attached is a copy of the flyer which was emailed to employees earlier this week. Please print and be sure all employees receive a copy. If possible, post copies of the flyer on bulletin boards.
Please encourage all employees to attend one of the meetings, even if they are not participating in the Lay Pension Plan or are only part-time. They are welcome to invite their spouses to attend as well.
Although priests will not be eligible for any employer contributions under the new Retirement Savings Plan, since the Priests Pension Plan is continuing, they are welcome and encouraged to participate on a voluntary basis as part of their retirement savings strategy. While we will be working with Lincoln Financial to schedule some separate meetings for priests, priests are welcome to attend these sessions as well. __________________________________________________________________________________
